Section III Target City: Saranac Lake

Recently, the District Board adopted a plan whereby each section would target one city/area and cooperatively throw the combined weight of their collective churches behind a prayer burden and coordinated plan of evangelism, and that God might call men to these areas.

After discussion with many of you in our section, the city that was mentioned most was Saranac Lake, in Franklin County NY. It seemed good to you and the Holy Ghost that we should make this our target city.

As I travel this great state, I am disturbed in my soul and challenged by the not only cites but entire counties that are not represented by a real, Bible true church. The whole of upper New York State is thus un-reached, save for the valiant efforts of the Salversons in Plattsburg. Planting a church in Saranac Lake would not only provide them with some much-needed neighborly fellowship (at 45 miles away) but would give the right person with the right call a unique opportunity to really help facilitate the opening up of the north country to the truth! What a spiritual vacuum must exist there; what hunger for truth must be a catalyst for church growth! I would to God that He would hear and answer our prayers for this city to have a chance to hear the Gospel and be saved.
